  If you want to stay away from facebook for any reason for some duration of time even for some months and also if you don't want to show any information as your photos, videos, wall, ... or any information regarding you to your friends or any user of facebook then simply you can deactivate your account in facebook. Your all data will be still on facebook server but no body could be able to see it when you do deactivate your account. Whenever you want to come back in facebook then you can activate your account and your all data will become again live as it was before. Make sure after reactivated your facebook account then if you have any groups or events it will not be restored automatically. You have to do it manually.

How To Deactivate Facebook Account

To deactivate your facebook account follow the simple following steps.
Click on Deactivate Facebook Account
then you will see the following page,

Simply click on the reason why do you want to deactivate your facebook account and then click onConfirm button.
Then in the next screen you will see to confirm your password to continue so fill your password and click on Confirm.
After click may be you see the security check so simply write the captcha code and click onSubmit.
Now your facebook account have been deactivated.
If you want to reactivate your account then simply just login your facebook account you will see as it was before.

How To Permanently Delete Facebook Account

Simply follow the simple steps,
Just go to Permanently Facebook Account
then you will see the following page,

after click on Submit button you will see the next screen in which you have to write your passwordand captcha code and then click on Okay.
Now firstly your account will have been deactivated for within 14 days, that is because for your security purpose in case if you want to come back then you can simply login and cancel the request and if you don't login upto 14 days then your facebook account will automatically permanently deleted from facebook. If you are sure to permanently deleted your facebook account then never login upto 14 days. suppose if you attempt to login facebook on 7th day then your request for deletion of your account will carry forward to next 14 days again.
